Tony Hawk

Placed in top 5 in 1980 Van's/Offshore Amateur State Finals (California) in boys 11-13 year old division.

Eldest son Hudson Riley Hawk is named after Tony's ancestor, Henry Hudson, who discovered the Hudson Valley. TH claims that, following the failure of Hudson Hawk (1991) - which came and went within a year of his son's birth - the boy's parents just call him Riley.

In 1992, after the skateboarding industry took a downturn, Hawk started Birdhouse Projects along with ex-Powell Peralta pro Per Welinder. Now known as Birdhouse Skateboards, it is one of the companies in the Blitz Distribution family, another company formed by Hawk and Welinder. He also owns his own film and TV production company, 900 Films, and, along with his family, started Hawk Clothing. Hawk Clothing was later sold to Quiksilver and is now sold exclusively in Kohl's department stores across the USA.

Hawk divorced Cindy in 1994 and married his second wife, Erin Lee, on September 28, 1996; they had two sons and divorced in 2004. Hawk entered his third marriage with his then girlfriend, Lhotse Merriam, on January 12, 2006, on the island of Fiji. While there, the Fijian Chief of Tavarua, Druku, asked him to give a private skate demo where two onlookers held a piece of plywood as a makeshift wall to wall ride on a tennis court wall.

Sons with Erin Hawk: Spencer, born March 26, 1999 and Keegan, born July 18, 2001.

In 2000 he published his autobiography, "Occupation: Skateboarder."

In 2000 he wrote an autobiography entitled HAWK: Occupation: Skateboarder, which made it to number 18 on to the New York Times bestseller list. He later wrote three more books: a young adult autobiography called Hawk, a road journal called Between Boardslides and Burnout and Tony Hawk: Professional Skateboarder.

As of September 2001, still the only skateboarder to pull off a 900 in competition, which he has done multiple times.

Father of Riley Hawk, who helped Ashton Kutcher play a practical joke on Tony for "Punk'd" (2003). The elder Hawk grounded his son for the prank.

On August 29, 2004, at the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards, he won the first MTV Award for "Best Video Game Soundtrack" for Tony Hawk's Underground (T.H.U.G.)
