After AFI, his boyhood friend from Denver, writer/producer John Wells, hired him in to write for "China Beach" (1988) (1988-1991). After a stint there, he enrolled at Harvard medical school.1994
Joined John Wells again, as writer on "ER" (1994) while he completed his internship in L.A. hospital.1996
