Set an NFL record by recording 11 straight 100 yards games receiving. He broke his own team records (Dallas Cowboys) with career highs in receptions (111) and receiving yards (1,603) in the 1995 NFL season.
He was arrested on charges of cocaine possession in March of 1996. He plead no contest and was found guilty and sentenced to community service and probation. The NFL suspended him for the first five games of the 1996 season.
He suffered a neck injury in the 1999 NFL season which forced an early retirement from football.
Inducted, along with Bruce Matthews and Thurman Thomas, into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 4, 2007 at Canton, Ohio.
