The first prevision of his role as Q was when he appeared in "Little Women: Pilot (#1.0)" (1978) with William Shatner, who played Captain Kirk in the original Star Trek series and subsequent movies.

Is good friends with "MacGyver" (1985) and "Stargate SG-1" (1997) star Richard Dean Anderson. They have appeared in episodes of both those series and as well as "Legend" (1995) together.
