He tested for the role of "Austin Reed" at the same time as Patrick Muldoon. The "Days of Our Lives" (1965) casting agent loved Jason, but said he played the role a little older than they wanted to go. When the character of "Peter Blake" came up, they hired Jason without another audition.1995
